The agent of Sunderland defender Modibo Diakite expects him to stay on Wearside.

Diakite spent the second-half of last season on-loan with Fiorentina.

Letterio Pino told TMW: "Diakitè? He is fortunate to be with a solid club like Sunderland, which has a very good coach and has the esteem of all.

"We will evaluate with the club the best solution, but in his thoughts it is to remain."
