Chelsea have joined the battle for Nigerian whizkid Kelechi Nwakali.

The U17 World Cup star was expected to sign for Manchester City.

However, agent Klay Ekeocha admits talks over a move are stepping up.

"We are in contact with Chelsea, Udinese and Olympiakos," Ekeocha told allnigeriasoccer.com.

"We are working hard for the player, his family and academy. Manchester City and West Ham are no longer involved because of work permit issues.

"We got in touch with Arsenal and there's no feedback yet."
