The agent of Benfica midfielder Rafa Silva has revealed Premier League offers were turned down in January.
Leicester City were linked with Silva during the winter market.
And Antonio Araujo confirmed to O Jogo: "Because they believe in him, he did not leave in January.
"It's not bull**** talk, it's a fact. The situations that we made to the president of Benfica were credible proposals, real, of English clubs that are still interested in taking him.
"It was not a conversation. Benfica understood that it was not the moment because they needed the player. We talked to Rafa, we told him to have patience and fight."
