Liverpool and Arsenal have both made enquiries regarding the availability of Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani according to the player's agent.
The Uruguayan striker has been linked with a Parc des Princes departure this summer with the Reds showing considerable interest following the exit of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
The Gunners have also been credited with an interest which has been confirmed by Cavani's representative Claudio Anellucci.
"There was much interest in the player during the past six months. I can confirm that Cavani has heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal," he said.
"He would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision. He is not interested in money and fame, he just wants to be happy playing football."
Cavani joined PSG from Napoli for in excess of 64million last summer and scored 25 goals in his first season in France.
