Porto midfielder Fernando's agent, Antonio Araujo, has claimed that his client will move to the Premier League, with Manchester City reported favourites for his signature. The 26-year-old was linked with a deadline-day move to City, but that reported switch did not materialise.

"God willing, Fernando will play in the Premier League," Araujo told RTP.

"Manchester City were a strong candidate, but were not alone in the race."
