The agent of Patrice Evra admits the Marseille signing spoke with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

The former Juventus fullback signed for OM last week.

Federico Pastorello told Telefoot: "There was contact between the player and Jose Mourinho.

"If there had been an opportunity to return, he would've done everything to go back to Manchester United."

The agent added: "The key part of the transfer to Marseille was meeting with sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta."
