Verdi has pulled out of talks with the Azzurri this week.
“It was Simone's choice and purely for personal reasons," agent Donato Orgnoni told Mediaset Premium.
“Already in December he had immediately said no to a mid-season transfer. It all stems from his desire to prove at Bologna that he's a good player. He is relaxed, happy in Bologna and wants to continue his journey.
“I hope this sort of opportunity can pass by again, but the objective is to do well until June. Simone would've had his say at Napoli too, albeit not as a regular starter. He didn't turn down Napoli because he thought he wouldn't be playing.
“There were some approaches from other Italian clubs, but they never went particularly far. There are no predictions for June, I'm telling the truth. As for Napoli, we'll see in a few months time."
