The agent of AS Roma winger Erik Lamela isn't surprised by interest from Manchester City.

City boss Roberto Mancini watched Lamela in action last week against Sampdoria.

Pablo Sabbag told TMW: "City for Lamela? Erik is having a great season, is a young talent and it is normal that the big European clubs may be interested in him.

"Last month I was in Italy and I spoke to Roma about certain aspects of the contract of Lamela, like in Europe, but there is nothing concrete.

"It's not news that the big clubs are interested in Lamela. Erik is a great guy and a model professional, but it is too early to talk about the market and his future since there is still a lot of the season to go."
