The agent of Napoli midfielder Christian Maggio says it's about time he was called into the Italy squad.

Maggio has been included in the squad for the games against Holland and Sweden after a return to form.

"The call-up was very satisfying for Christian and he deserved it," Massimo Briaschi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"He can finally resume the journey which was interrupted last season because of the injury he sustained to his knee."
