The agent of Ezequiel Lavezzi has hit back at Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis over their passport row.

Lavezzi angered De Laurentiis after his return from Argentina was delayed due to a misplaced passport.

"I do not understand why if this happens to Lavezzi it creates huge controversy, whereas (Jesus) Datolo had the exact same thing without earning any headlines," said agent Alejandro Mazzoni.

"As for De Laurentiis, one day he says one thing and the other declares the total opposite. He did the same with [former Coach Roberto] Donadoni and now Lavezzi.

"He always wants to be right."
