The agent of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has played down talk of interest from Real Madrid.

The Mexico international has been linked with Real as he battles to nail down a regular first team start this season.

Eduardo Hernandez, speaking with ESPN Radio Formula, declared: "Javier is focused only on his football. So we just ignore the transfer rumours.

"He has always been at a good level, but I must say it is a very competitive situation and the toughest Javier has ever faced. "I think this is not the right time to exit. Both he and Manchester want to continue working together."
