Agent of Liverpool's Aquilani says Serie A move still on

Despite reports that Alberto Aquilani was set to remain with Liverpool, his agent says a deal to get him back to the Serie A could still occur.

The Italian midfielder has been linked with Fiorentina following his loan spell at Juventus last season but it emerged that his wages at Anfield had deterred La Viola from making a move.

However, his representative Franco Zavaglia, says a deal is still on the cards although he failed to say if it was with Fiorentina or another Serie A club.

"The transfer is not at risk, and we remain with the possibility [of a move happening]," Zavaglia told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"There are no ultimatums as you never launch ultimatums in football.

"I don't know what has been reported in England, but I can say the player, having understood he is no longer a part of the plans at Liverpool, wants a permanent solution.

"But the deal is not at risk, we are just waiting."
