The agent of Roma defender Philippe Mexes is coy over the prospect of a move to AC Milan for the Frenchman. "There is no connection between the debt accumulated by the owners and Roma," said Mexes' agent, Olivier Jouanneaux, "because if you look at the budgets of the club, it is one of the best in Italian life.
"The Milan talk is coming from the newspapers. The fact remains that a team like Milan must keep an eye on players such as Philippe. But he has a contract with Roma and has repeatedly said he is glad to be in the Giallorosso.
"However, if Milan really wants Philippe, you'd think they would go directly to Roma, given the good relations that exist."
He also told calciomercato.com: "If Roma decides to sell Philippe, then it would be possible that Milan would show interest and we therefore would act accordingly.
"For the time being it is not something topical, only for the fact that there have been contacts. Personally I have never talked to anyone."
