The agent of Liverpool target Ezequiel Lavezzi insists the midfielder wants to stay with Napoli.

"Ezequiel reiterated his wish to stay in Napoli but the issue remains another one," explained Alejandro Mazzoni.

"Marino made several promises to my client and he has so far failed to live up to them."

Lavezzi has been followed closely by several clubs, with Liverpool in pole position to secure his services.

"The Reds made a genuine offer for him about four days ago, but now it seems like nothing is happening," concluded Mazzoni.
