The agent of Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini admits he could be returning to Italy this month.

Giaccherini has found himself on the outer of Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat's plans this season.

Furio Valcareggi told Sportitalia: "There has been a rethinking of the whole situation that has arisen in England.

"The time is tight, but Emanuele is a player of a level who needs to play after a season marked by several injuries. He lost last year, now he cannot miss any opportunity.

"This is the year of the Euros, Emanuele cares. If he can go back to Italy? Let's see, anything can happen."
