The agent of Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo insists he didn't choose Genoa over Fiorentina due to money. "Fiorentina made a low offer and it was only for one year," explained agent Fernando Hidalgo.

"With Genoa we quickly reached an agreement over a two-year contract. That represents an important show of faith in Hernan.

"Crespo is very happy to arrive at Genoa. This week he was looking for a house in the city, he is eager to prove his worth in Italy and Europe during the crucial season leading up to the World Cup."
