The agent of Grant Holt has explained why the striker wants away from Norwich City.

Holt's agent Lee Payne claimed that the 31-year-old forward has been told by Norwich he is 'too old' to be offered a three-year contract. Payne alleged that talks with the club broke down after Canaries chief executive David McNally questioned his age.

Payne told BBC Radio Norfolk: "David bluntly turned around and said 'you're too old so forget a third year'."
