The agent of Sunderland defender Paulo da Silva has revealed a move to Real Zaragoza is close.

Da Silva has been in talks with Zaragoza for some weeks.

"We are very close to closing the deal, I've been talking to the leaders of his club and, as negotiations have gone, it's just a matter of hours," said Oscar Sosa to El Heraldo de Aragón.

Da Silva is snubbing a move to Cruz Azul to remain in Europe at Zaragoza.
