A move to Rangers appears unlikely for Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar.
The Daily Express says Cuellar's agent, Pedro Bravo, is adamant that the defender wants to see out the last year of his contract at Aston Villa.
Bravo said: "Yes, I have had an approach from Rangers. Carlos is very flattered that Rangers would like to re-sign him.
"But the reality is that he still has a year left on his contract at Aston Villa. He is more than happy to sit that out and try and prove himself to the new manager (Alex McLeish).
"I also think it would be unlikely that Rangers will be able to afford to pay what Carlos is currently on, so I expect him to see out his contract with Aston Villa."
