The agent of Sven Goran Eriksson expects the Swede to learn of his Manchester City future within days.

Athole Still said: "Sven and I have been saying: 'Wait and see.' It is not the best answer, but it's the way things are.

"There will be a decision very, very soon. Will it be within days? Yes, I would think so."

The agent admitted to being bemused that Eriksson is facing the sack.

"It's strange that his job is under threat when he has taken the club into Europe in one season," Still said.
