Alexis Sanchez's agent has denied accusations that the Arsenal forward committed tax fraud whilst playing in Spain for Barcelona, reports the London Evening Standard.
Prosecutors have alleged that the 27-year-old failed to pay £885,025 between 2012 and 2013.
The issue is reported to revolve around Sanchez's image rights, for which it is alleged the Chile international used an offshore company in Malta to avoid paying tax.
A representative of Sanchez denied the allegations.
"Alexis Sanchez has perfectly obeyed every one of the laws imposed by the countries where he has resided," Sanchez's agent Fernando Felicevich said in a statement.
"We ask the press and public at large for the upmost respect until the completion of the ongoing administrative and judicial process."
