The agent of Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has cooled talk of interest from Napoli.

Mitrovic is a target for Napoli as cover for the injured Arek Milik.

“It is very unlikely at the moment. The only certainty right now is that he will end the season at Newcastle United," agent Nenad Jestrovic told CalcioNapoli24.

Have Napoli actually requested Mitrovic via the club or his representatives?

“Absolutely not. In the past there was some contact, but for now it's out of the question. He will spend another six months in England, then well decide what to do with his future."
