James McFadden's agent has played down reports linking the player with Celtic, claiming Everton are preparing a new deal for the forward.
McFadden has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Toffees side despite his heroics with Scotland, fuelling rumours of a possible move away in search of regular first-team action.
The 24-year-old's agent, Willie McKay, says Everton are keen to keep McFadden and are lining up a new deal for the player.
"James is under contract at Everton and he is only thinking of Everton," McKay told Sky Sports.
"I believe David Moyes is ready to offer him a new contract to keep him at Goodison Park."
