Italian agent Peppino Tirri wouldn't be surprised if Manchester City held onto Carlos Tevez as a "matter of principle".

Tevez faces further sanction at City after his Munich wobbler.

Tirri told TMW: "His situation is very complicated. The Sheikh will not today give him away and not tomorrow, it is a matter of principle.

"To date there is nothing concrete on Carlos. We have the interest of two months ago, in the sense that Tevez is a player that everyone loves but nobody likes. And then, for the rumours, he'll cost 30 million euros and earns 8."
