The agent of Jonathan Biabiany admits Chelsea made a January attempt for the Inter Milan winger.

Chelsea attempted to land Biabiany on a loan deal in the dying days of the January transfer window but a move to Stamford Bridge failed to materialise and Davide Bega believes time constraints were to blame.

Asked if Chelsea did launch a move, he told CalcioMercato.com: "Yes, I can confirm that.

"Conte wanted him and personally talked to Jonathan to persuade him to move to Chelsea.

"Chelsea's offer, however, was late.

"They called us on Sunday night and the transfer window was closing two days later.

"There was no time to finalise a deal."
