According to the players agent, Aberdeen have made an enquiry for Kilmarnock striker Kevin Kyle. Kyle is out of contract in the summer and as yet has failed to agree a new deal at Rugby Park.

Kyle's agent, Raymond Sparkes, has confirmed McGhee has expressed his interest in the Scotland international but as yet has not offered a contract.

"Aberdeen are one of the clubs I have talked to about Kevin Kyle," Sparkes told the Aberdeen Evening Express.

"I have discussed the situation with Mark McGhee, although Aberdeen have not gone so far as to offer a contract."
