The agent of Manchester United fullback Alexander Buttner is shocked by his latest omission from the Holland squad.

Louis van Gaal has again ignored the former Vitesse Arnhem defender for his latest squad selection.

Aleksandar Bursac told Voetbal International: "Maybe Van Gaal thinks he's German? It's inexplicable.

"He's an English champion. He deserves a chance.

"The only thing I can think of is maybe the coach is planning to use him in only the important games."
