Atletico Madrid defender Theo Hernandez's Real Madrid medical yesterday was sparked by a clash with his agent, it has been revealed.

Theo, on-loan with Alaves, passed his Real medical on Monday - news which caught the Spanish football world on the hop.

It's emerged agent Manuel Garcia Quilon drove the early move after a heated exchange with Theo over the weekend.

Having heard about Quilon discussing the idea of him moving to Barcelona, Theo called his agent after the game with Athletic Bilbao and let rip. Such was the emotion, that Quilon feared losing the defender as a client, reports AS.

So, taking the bull by the horns, Quilon scheduled a meeting with Real president Florentino Perez to thrash out personal terms on Monday and to organise Theo's medical.
