The agent of Villarreal defender Cristian Zapata has ruled out a return to Serie A.

The Colombian will move on this summer, but a switch to the peninsula seems impossible at this moment of the transfer window.

"Even though the market is long and anything can happen, I don't believe that he can return to Italy," agent Massimo Italiani told Sport Italia.

"What I can say with some certainty is that he will leave Villarreal."
