As he recovers from his ankle injury at West Ham United, Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani is still thrashing out terms over a new contract.

Aquilani was linked with Fiorentina this week in the Florence press and his agent, Franco Zavaglia, said: "At this moment it is still open on the renewal with Roma.

"There are still several details to be determined, but I think it is possible to arrive at an agreement for the extension."
