Agent admits Napoli ideal destination for Cagliari striker Acquafresca

The agent of Robert Acquafresca admits a move to Napoli would be ideal for the Cagliari striker.

Acquafresca is expected to return to parent club Inter Milan in June, but Paolo Fabbri says: "It's up to the Nerazzurri to decide if they bring him back or leave him out. It's also not sure whether he'll stay with Cagliari because Inter would like Robert to cement himself for another year at a club in a position to play in the UEFA Cup.

"With that in mind, a team like Napoli, Palermo, Sampdoria or Genoa would be ideal for him.

"I'll conclude by saying that Cagliari remain a possible solution if Massimiliano Allegri comes to be confirmed as their trainer for next season.

"I have yet to have any contact with Napoli director of sport Pierpaolo Marino," Fabbri revealed before returning to Acquafresca's prospects at Inter.

"Many months ago Inter said to us they want a squad with at least four great attackers, a mix of experience and youth.

"At the time in question they had Mario Balotelli and Robert, as well as that expert Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"If two players of Ibrahimovic's calibre were to arrive in the summer, naturally Robert and Inter could separate.

"It's clear that there would not be any reservation on our behalf about going to a wonderful place like Napoli," he concluded.
