Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey is interesting Manchester United.

Schalke 04 keeper Manuel Neuer is expected to join United straight after the World Cup finals, although Fiorentina's Frey is an alternative target.

Frey's agent Giovanni Branchini said: "I don't reject that Seba is on United's agenda - but the matter is closed til the end of the season.

"He has a contract until 2013 and Fiorentina don't want to discuss the issue until May. I personally think this is logical."
