Agent admits Man Utd, Chelsea interest for AC Milan defender Thiago Silva
The agent of AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has played down talk of an imminent offer from Barcelona.
Barca are being linked with the Brazilian this week.
"He has a contract with the Rossoneri and is happy with the team - and fans of the club. There is nothing concrete and these reports are also raised because he plays in a club that has a visible and important profile in the world like no other."But Paulo Tonietto told Calciomercato.it: "The only thing I can say is that it is only speculation. Thiago Silva is the best center defender in the world at this moment. No one is even remotely close to him.
He makes an aging Nesta, a subpar Mexes, and a terrible Bonera, look good. He doesn't make mistakes. He doesn't pick up red cards, or even yellows. He scores, is great in the air, and is an incredible midfielder too. Possibly the only downside is that he's a quiet guy. He needs to be more of a leader and be more vocal.
Best defender in the world?! And Bebe is the best midfielder in the world...ridiculous statement!
