Juventus are eyeing Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
Sabatino Durante, who represents the Croatian midfielder in Italy, told Calcio Mercato: "Of course a player can't be playing on his own and needs a team. Tottenham have been through some problems with the coach's departure and many changes of players.
"For sure if the team don't play well, Modric can't express himself to the maximum. I watched him three or four times in the stadium and every time he proved he is a great player (...).
"I have been saying that Modric is one of the best midfielders in Europe for the last two, three years because he is a good mix of quality and quantity. And he's a young player as well.
"He has huge room for progress and can play in a two-midfielder system or like [Pavel] Nedved. In a few words he can do anything. And he is attracted by the goal.
"Tottenham can't deprive themselves from having such a player, who had been approached by Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea before his move to White Hart Lane.
"He opted to join the London team in order to grow within a team that are not in the first tier and that would be playing around him.
"For sure [moving to Italy in the summer is an option] but it will depend on the state of the economy. Modric can't move on from London for less than 24 or 25 million [£22 or 23 million].
"I don't know how many Italian teams can afford such figures. Only Inter, whose president has huge means, are capable of following English teams. But I have no idea whether the Nerazzurri want to sign the midfielder.
"Him moving to Italy seems complicated for many reasons."
