The agent of Denmark U17 star Lasse Vigen Christensen admits the new Fulham signing had been tracked by the Cottagers long-term.
It was a performance against England which convinced Fulham to make their move.
"At the time many English clubs asked after him and Fulham actually hoped to sign him at the beginning of the summer," agent Gulli Tomasson told Bold.
"They then watched him at the U17 World Cup in Mexico and also in two U18 internationals in October.
"In November he went over there for trials - and then everything moved very fast.""The interest has been there a long time. He was watched at the U17 European Championships in Serbia, where Lasse had a great game against England.
