The agent of FC Groningen defender Virgil van Dijk says Brighton face competition for the youngster.

Van Dijk is the subject of a £2 million bid from Brighton, but is also a target for Everton and Newcastle United.

Henk-Maarten Chin revealed: "I think Brighton can bid. He is a player who has many admirers in England. He's also liked in Germany, it is true, but especially at the Seagulls."
