Benfica are chasing Barcelona striker Jonathan Soriano.

Soriano has been outstanding for Barca B over the last 18 months and his agent has revealed Benfica are following his progress closely.

"Benfica have been interested in the player for a year. The next step," says agent Jose Maria Orobitg, "is to forward a concrete offer.

"It' a great club and there are many possibilities that the operation could happen."
