Agdestein leaning towards Inverness exit

Toby Agdestein has indicated that he could be leaving Inverness this winter.

The 22-year old Norwegian strikers Caley contract expires this week and he suggests he may move on after being given 13 substitute appearances in the league this season.

However, the former Stord IL and Brighton & Hove Albion man admits he has enjoyed his time in the Highlands and could be lured to stay if he was promised regular game time.

"We are in talks and it is a hard choice because I've been on the bench the whole time here," he said.

"I need to play every week, especially considering the age I am.

"I like it up here in Inverness so extending my contract would be a good thing if I got to play a lot.

"It's a hard thing at any club if anyone else is doing very well, you can't really say anything.

"I haven't had anything to complain about to be honest because we have done so well so far.

"I have been talking to the new gaffer (John Hughes) because the old manager (Terry Butcher) spoke about how he wanted to sign me up.

"It changed, I have been waiting for the new manager to settle in and he came to talk to me the other day.

"He said the club wanted to start talking about a new contract to the end of the season or further. I know the club is in contact with my agent and things will sort themselves out."
