Gabby Agbonlahor hailed the influence of John Carew in his Aston Villa winner against Cardiff City last night.
Agbonlahor said the strike - executed with a back-heel - was instinctive, and he was grateful to the quality service from his fellow forward.
He told AVTV: "You look at his run and that is what he's been doing since he got here.
"Luckily he crossed it for me and I put it in so I owe John again for another goal.
"I think it was instinctive. The way the ball sat up, I think it is the only thing I could have done so luckily it went in.
"But in the cup it doesn't matter who scores. It is about getting through to the next round and that is what we've done."
