Veteran Dutch coach Aad de Mos has recommended Gaston Pereira leave PSV Eindhoven.

De Mos recommended Arsenal and Tottenham take a close look at the Uruguayan striker last month.

And after seeing him ignored by coach Philip Cocu against FC Utrecht, De Mos says Pereira needs to leave for the sake of his career.

"He is now, with his qualities, at the wrong club. It is as yet a unhappy marriage," he told Omroep Brabant.

"From the public and the media he feels no confidence and these are three factors that play on the mind.

"He must be fed by his teammates and that happens too little."
