England midfielder Frank Lampard is full of renewed confidence after he helped his side qualify for the World Cup's Round of 16.
The Chelsea star is adamant that group stage form counts for nothing now and is convinced the Three Lions will come to the fore with 'pure knockout football'.
"The World Cup starts here. It doesn't matter how we've played in the group matches because that doesn't win you anything," he said.
"You don't get any credit for playing well in the first round if you then get sent home in the next round.
"So everything starts from here with pure knockout football.
"And it can only focus our minds to think that we are four games away from doing something very special.
"I don't think we have to draw a line under what has happened in the camp this week.
"We just have to concentrate on our next game. Today's performance has given us a lot to build on.
"We've seen it many times that teams start the World Cup a bit cagey and then come good in the later rounds.
"We have to follow that model and keep on improving with every game."
