Sunderland boss Paolo di Canio is ready to return to Lazio for a second defensive signing.
After clinching centre-half Modibo Diakite on a Bosman this week, Di Canio is now eyeing his former Lazio teammate Luis Pedro Cavanda.
The Belgian is entering the final year of his current deal and Sky Italia says talks have already begun between the two clubs over a fee for the fullback.
