After defeat Sinama-Pongolle urges Atletico Madrid to focus on PSV

Florent Sinama-Pongolle says Atletico Madrid must shake-off the disappointment of Saturday's defeat by Real Valladolid and focus on their Champions League opener against PSV Eindhoven this week.

"The ball did not want to go into the net on Saturday, but football is like that," said the ex-Liverpool striker. "You cannot say that it was a one-off because it happened, but we must continue to work for the game against PSV, which is very important.

"After a defeat, it is best for any player to reach the next match in the shortest possible time."

Sinama-Pongolle also declared confidence in forming a lethal partnership with Argentina striker Sergio Aguero this season.

He added: "I feel very good with Aguero on the field. I think there is an understanding between us."
