Mauricio Pochettino admitted he was downcast after his Tottenham side were beaten 1-0 by Besiktas on Thursday night.
The north Londoners missed the chance to finish top of Group C in the Europa League when losing in Istanbul after Cenk Tosun scored the only goal in the 59th minute.
After the match, Pochettino felt his players were unlucky not to at least come away with something but did bemoan the fact they were unable to score when they had Besiktas under pressure at various stages.
"I'm disappointed because we dominated but in football you have to score when you're on top," he told Spurs TV.
"We need to stop thinking about the Europa League now and focus on the league & Capital One Cup starting with Swansea on Sunday."
Tottenham ended up second in the group on 11 points, one behind Besiktas, after recording three wins and two draws from their six group stage fixtures.
