The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) marketing committee is considering permitting additional branding space on the back of team shirts in AFC club competitions, reports SportBusiness. The move is being discussed to give clubs additional revenue generating opportunities.
Interim president Zhang Jilong said that "at a time of economic instability, it is crucial to earn revenue by marketing our products which have gained significant popularity over the years."
