AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam denies any interest in FIFA presidency

Bin Hammam made the comments while answering a question at a round-table media conference with Korean journalists during his trip to Seoul and Suwon for the Peace Queen's Cup recently.

When asked if there was any truth in reports that he would be running for the top position in world football three years hence, Bin Hammam replied: "No. It is very clear that I support Mr Blatter who is the current President of FIFA. I do hope that he runs for another term in 2011 and I will support him as I always do."

"I believe that all AFC Member Associations are on the same page with me on this (supporting Blatter)," he added.

The AFC chief was recently named by World Soccer magazine as the third most powerful man in world football after Blatter and UEFA President Michel Platini.
