Freddy Adu was happy to be back in winning form with Philadelphia Union on the weekend.
The 22-year old was making just his second appearance of the season after captaining the USA U23 team which fell short in Olympic qualifying and admits it was nice to on a winning side as the Union defeated Columbus Crew at PPL Park.
"It felt great [to be back], especially in a winning effort. I'm glad I was part of the play that led to the goal as well.""All is right with the world right now," he said.
And Adu said he was determined to make more of an impact for Philly this season by providing a lot more going forward.
"I just want to be an impact player," Adu reiterated. "It's important to me. I did that with U-23s and I want to build on that.
The goal was always to transition what I was doing with the U-23s back here in Philadelphia and so far it's good. But it can always be better.""My goal this year is to be an impact player for the team - not just to play well. I want to be involved a lot more offensively and going forward. From that perspective, it felt good today," he added.
