Adu looking for more of the same after big show for Philadelphia Union

Freddy Adu wants to produce more performances like the one he did against Toronto FC on the weekend.

The 23-year old Philadelphia Union attacker was a handful for the TFC defence, scoring a goal and providing a constant threat, as his side won 3-0.

Adu has always shown glimpses of brilliance but after this display is hoping to produce that on a more consistent basis.

"Sometimes you just get in the zone," Adu said. "I just wish I was in the zone all time.

"A lot of the things that most people kind of knock on me are the things that I'm proud of and what I did well today.

"It was not so much going forward, scoring goals; it's the little things that people don't see, like cutting off passing lanes, getting back, helping guys defend."

Adu put the Union two goals ahead in the 36th minute after Gabriel Gomez's opener two minutes earlier, with a neat finish from an angle, before Antoine Hoppenot made it 3-0 with just over ten minutes remaining to give the Union two wins in a row.
