Freddu Adu has finally made his first league appearance for Portuguese club Belenenses.

The 20-year old American international is on loan from rivals Benfica and helped his side to a 0-0 draw against Sporting Lisbon.

Adu came on in the 65th minute and played a roaming role behind the strikers, going everywhere from left wing, through central midfield and to the right wing.

He almost set up a goal for his club but his through ball was wasted.

Overall, the signs were good for Adu who has struggled for serious first team football in recent times.
