New Roma striker Adriano says the team is strong enough to win the Scudetto next season.

Adriano signed with Roma last week from Flamengo.

"Can we fight for the Scudetto? I hope so. Roma have a good squad with many champions in the team, Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi for example," he told the club's official magazine La Roma.

"I am convinced that I can make a big contribution by working hard.

"I came here because I like the way the team plays. Their game is spectacular and it is enjoyable for the fans.

"Plus, I want to leave a better image with Italy compared to the one I left when I played for Inter."
